Music therapy

I am sound.

Here is a short overview of the materials and the techniques I work with in my music therapy sessions. I use some of these instruments on the palliative care ward at Klinikum Bayreuth and at the Albert Schweitzer Hospice as well.

Easy to approach

Feeling your own agency through music

The drum, the singing bowl, the Moon kalimba and the rest ask for no musical experience at all. Within their own possibilities, every client can draw their very own sounds, rhythms and vibrations out of these instruments.

  • Djembe
  • Singing bowl
  • Moon kalimba
  • Guitar
  • Small percussion

Active and receptive

Active and receptive music therapy

So as a client I am the active shaper of the (sound) space I am in, and I experience myself as someone who can and may control certain things (again).

And if the words are missing, these instruments are ideal media for clothing your own feelings in music and expressing them that way, with a very low threshold.
